ROOKIE is a music producer and DJ who has carved a distinct path in Bandung’s independent electronic scene for over a decade. Starting out in smoke-filled bar stages, ROOKIE steadily rose to become a resident DJ at some of the city’s most prominent clubs, eventually making his mark at major festivals such as Djakarta Warehouse Project (2019), LaLaLa Festival (2018), Shivering Ground Festival (2019), and Good Times City at Djakarta Warehouse Project (2024).

His versatility has led him beyond the boundaries of electronic music, earning him slots at genre-crossing festivals like Hammersonic Festival (2023 & 2024), Nexfest (2024), Nowplaying Festival (2024), Distorsi Keras Festival (2024), Heyfest (2024), and Doomsday Festival (2024) — affirming his status as a dynamic and influential presence on stages across Indonesia.

Expanding his reach internationally, ROOKIE toured to Singapore in 2017 to promote his single “Void”, marking his first foray into the global stage. Throughout his career, he has released a string of original works that gained critical recognition, starting with his debut album One Touch of Unreality (2018) and the EP Reues (Proud To Be A Sundanese) (2022). He’s also well-known for his engaging collaborations, including the single “Runwithme?” with LOTUS FROM JAKARTA (Jesslyn Juniata), and a series of acclaimed remixes available on his SoundCloud.

In 2024, ROOKIE unveiled his sophomore album EL//NATH, a 13-track journey that pushes sonic boundaries and features an eclectic lineup of collaborators such as Ayub Jonn (ONAR), Bottlesmoker, Dabozzo (EYEEFEELSIX), Faizal Permana (KILLMS, 510), DJ hbrp, Jeanriani, Nadse (Ex-JKT48), and Syeqy. With a relentless drive to innovate and deliver immersive live experiences, ROOKIE continues to prove himself as not just an entertainer, but a creative force shaping the ever-evolving soundscape of Indonesian music — bringing fresh, unexpected energy to every stage he touches.
